Knock your socks off (informative)

Submitted by: rene.hymel@mac.com

I wanted to start with the basics first, and then build the awareness from there. Our competency and training are our foundation on witch we treat and care for the diabetic patient. I felt that there is always a need to educate people on this fundamental part of who we are, and why they should seek out our expertise. I then built into the video a lot of the information from the “Diabetes Foot Facts” that the APMA is publishing with this campaign to match what patients see and hear with what their podiatrist might share with them in his/her office. Finally, I ended with a little humor and memory aid linking this message to an item that people see every day, their average sock.

This was AWESOME!!!! I looked at all of them and this was UNDOUBTEDLY the BEST and the most CREATIVE!!!! Plus you had yours in BEFORE most of the others were submitted. I understand they extended the deadline date.

I think if you hadn't had as many AARP members watching the video you could have gotten more votes. The voting process baffled many of your supporters (spam folder?). Do you get any points for having the most views?

I think the msg. is direct and light hearted at the same time... the images got my attention with out making me weak. I hope the judges get it right. You got the most passion, information and creativity. I think ya Knocked um dead Ne'! They could have extended the deadline another 2 weeks, and you still would have had them beat!

I agree. I like the focus on mobility, and that the fight can be won with self exams and a podiatrist. Good link with fight and "knock your socks off".
Best of luck Rene!

Great job keeping my attention with a peppering of humor here and there... Honey! it was almost like you were cooking this video up like a gumbo... And your right this is a fight people can win with the help of their Podiatrist. Mobility is the key message here not just the toes, and you conveyed that message.
